lift and toss!
I'm not a trained action photographer, in fact I'm not all that interested in taking photos of sports or fast moving objects... My friends were in the cheerleading team that year, so I supported them by taking tons of photographs of their cheerleading routine, which then won the best cheer that year. I had been with the cheerleaders when they were training, so I was quite familiar with their routine, and fortunately I had the whole of the front to myself, so I knew when to shoot what. This particular shot was very interesting becasue even with my lousy camera I managed to catch some motion blur of the female cheerleader's feet. Not to mention the very amusing expression on her face. They are both my good friends, if you're wondering...
