dawn at clifford pier We were walking around the Shenton Way area early in the morning, around 5 or 6 a.m. Faced with a slowly brightening Clifford Pier building, everyone around me started to set up their tripods and to take their own intepretation of this shot. With no tripod, I went for the next best thing... I left my camera on the floor. There was this slightly curved hump-like area on the floor, where I rested my camera, and I just set it to a long exposure, which explains why in the photo it looks so bright. The floor also explains why there's this sort of blurry area at the bottom of the photo. I really like this shot, especially of the solitary cat off-centre, which was only vaguely planned.
