These are just flowers by the roadside (Here in Singapore we like to grow bushes and trees along the roads. Makes travelling kinder on the eyes... something along those lines...) which happen to look good in black and white. I'm not all too sure what species of flowers they belong to, but they are pretty and smell very fresh. At this point I was aware of how aperture can affect the depth of field, but with an automatic camera, I did not pay too much attention, and thus this photo with the background nicely blurred out was wholly unintentional. Sometimes I still wonder how I could take nice photos with such little knowledge and application of basic photography techniques... Lucky, I guess.
